A Sundance

A Sundance

by Robert Nissan

Something is happening in the town of Hot Springs, South Dakota. Doctors commit gross errors in clinical judgement. Unnatural and frightening acts of nature occur in Sundance Park. The townspeople sufffer from nightmares of horror and violence. Animals become violent.

Russ Nichols, a Family Physician, has taken note and wonders if his imagination fueled by his interest in supernatural thrillers has affected his judgement.
The main characters struggle to understand what’s happening in their town.
Could contaminated water from a nearby chemical plant be a cause?
Could it be because a woman with past ties to a descendant has returned to the community and seeks revenge for the execution of her ancestor years ago?
Or could the contaminated ground have given rise to the avenging strength of a supernatural force, seeking revenge?
A Native American holy man believes he understands the disease of the community and vows to rid the town of the evil spirit that has invaded. But he seeks the help of a woman who is connected to the past.
The novel builds to the conclusion when all these forces collide. What is the outcome? Who or what prevails?
