    Why Authors Choose EbookPbook

We’ve been helping self-published authors for over 20 years. Here’s what sets our trailer service apart.

    Built for Self-Published Authors

We understand your market, your readers, and your budget. We’ve worked with independent authors and major publishers for over two decades.

    AI-Powered, Human-Guided

AI helps us reduce costs and speed up production. But every trailer is shaped, refined, and approved by real people — including you.

    Tailored to Your Genre

From literary fiction to sci-fi, romance to memoir — every trailer is designed around your book’s unique tone, themes, and audience.

    You’re Involved at Every Step

We build in review checkpoints so you’re never left guessing. You see the concept, the script, the visuals, and the edit — and give feedback on each.

    No Technical Skills Needed

You don’t need to know anything about video production. We guide you through every step in plain language — no jargon, no confusion.

    Pay Only When You’re Happy

We don’t invoice until you’ve approved the final trailer. That means zero financial risk for you.

    Common Questions

Everything you need to know before getting started.

What do I need to provide?
Just two things: your book’s interior file (Word or PDF) and a high-resolution cover image (PDF or JPG). We take it from there — developing the concept, script, visuals, and soundtrack based on your book’s content and genre.
How long does it take to produce a trailer?
Most trailers are completed within 2 to 4 weeks from the time you share your files. The exact timeline depends on complexity and how quickly you’re able to review at each checkpoint.
Can I request changes during production?
Absolutely. We build in review checkpoints throughout the process — at the concept stage, after scripting, during visual development, and on the final edit. You’ll have the opportunity to give feedback and request adjustments at each stage.
What video formats do I receive?
You can choose either a horizontal (16:9) version for YouTube, websites, and Facebook or a vertical (9:16) version for Instagram, TikTok, and Reels, depending on where your audience is most active. Both are delivered as broadcast-ready MP4 files.
Where can I use my trailer?
Everywhere you market your book. The files we deliver are ready to upload directly to every major platform where authors reach readers.

Amazon. Upload videos to your Amazon Author Central page (author.amazon.com → Author Profile → Videos → Add Video). You or any customer can also upload a video to your book’s product detail page via the “Upload your video” link typically shown near the customer reviews section. Availability varies by region; moderator review usually takes one to two days.

YouTube. Upload to your own YouTube channel (creating one is free and takes five minutes). YouTube is the second-largest search engine in the world, so a clearly titled trailer there becomes permanently discoverable and can be linked from anywhere. Use a title like “[Book Title] — Official Book Trailer” and include your purchase link in the description.

Your author website or blog. Embed the trailer prominently, ideally on the homepage or a dedicated book page. A short video above the fold is one of the most effective ways to keep visitors engaged and move them toward a purchase link.

Social media. Upload natively (not as a shared YouTube link) to Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and TikTok; each platform’s algorithm favours content that stays on its own site. Use the horizontal file (16:9) for Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn; use the vertical file (9:16) for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts.

Email newsletters. Most email clients cannot play embedded video, so the standard approach is a still frame from the trailer (or the book cover) as a clickable image linking to the YouTube version.

Events and signings. Play the trailer on a loop at book signings, readings, library talks, or speaking engagements. It tells visitors instantly what the book is about and creates a professional first impression.

Goodreads. Goodreads allows authors to add video to their Author Profile. It is owned by Amazon and has a dedicated community of readers, so it is worth the few minutes required to upload.

Press and media outreach. Include a link to the trailer in any pitch to journalists, podcasters, bloggers, reviewers, or bookstagrammers. It gives them something visual and immediate, far more engaging than a synopsis alone.

What genres do you work with?
We create trailers for a wide range of genres — from literary fiction and thrillers to romance, fantasy, memoir, and nonfiction. Every project is developed thoughtfully and tailored to your book, with a focus on quality, integrity, and audience reach.
When and how do I pay?
We send a PayPal invoice only after you’ve approved the final trailer. There are no deposits and no upfront charges. You pay once you’re completely satisfied with the result.
How do I choose between horizontal and vertical?
Most authors start with a single format based on where their readers are most active. If your audience is primarily on YouTube or Facebook, a horizontal trailer is ideal. If you are focused on Instagram, TikTok, or Reels, go vertical. Not sure? Fill in the form and we will help you decide — no commitment required.
Who owns the music and footage in my trailer?
All music used in your trailer is professionally licensed, and you receive full rights to use it within your trailer across any platform. The visual footage is generated using AI tools, which means you own full rights to the finished video subject to applicable local laws regarding AI-generated content. You are free to use your trailer anywhere you market your book — there are no recurring fees or usage restrictions.
How many trailers have you produced?
We have delivered more than 80 book trailers to authors in over 30 countries, spanning every major genre from literary fiction and memoir to fantasy, romance, and nonfiction. Our clients include independent authors across North America, the UK, Europe, India, Australia, and beyond.

What resolution and quality do I receive?
Your trailer is delivered in full HD (1920×1080 for horizontal, 1080×1920 for vertical) as a broadcast-quality MP4 file. This is the standard resolution used by every major platform, including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Amazon Author Central, and Vimeo. There is no quality loss when you upload to any of these platforms.

How long is a typical book trailer?
Most book trailers are between 45 and 90 seconds long. That is long enough to communicate a book’s premise, tone, and mood, but short enough to hold attention on social feeds where viewers scroll quickly. The exact length is shaped by the book itself; a thriller may benefit from a tighter 45-second cut, while a literary memoir might call for a slower 90-second reveal.

What file format is the trailer delivered in?
Your trailer is delivered as an MP4 file encoded in H.264, the universal format accepted natively by every major social media platform, video host, and Amazon Author Central. No format conversion is needed before uploading. The files are also compact enough to share by email or messaging apps.

Can I get a 4K or ultra HD version?
Our standard delivery is full HD (1080p), which is the optimal resolution for every current social platform and Amazon Author Central; most platforms downscale 4K to 1080p on playback anyway. A 4K version can be produced on request for a small additional fee; mention it when you enquire and we will include the option in your quote.

Do I need to upload natively to each platform, or can I share a YouTube link?
Native uploads generally get significantly more reach than shared YouTube links, especially on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn, because each platform’s algorithm favours content that keeps viewers on its own site. YouTube works as your permanent home base for the trailer; other platforms each benefit from their own native upload using the appropriately formatted file (horizontal for Facebook and LinkedIn, vertical for Instagram, TikTok, and Shorts).
